The Housing and Dining application for the 2025-2026 academic year will be available to new students beginning September 9, 2024.
BEFORE APPLYING FOR CAMPUS HOUSING
- You must be admitted to the University of Kentucky. Click here to submit an application for admission to UK.
- Once admitted to UK, your information could take up to 24 hours to be updated in our system. If you have any issues after the 24-hour processing period, please email us at ukhousing@uky.edu or call 859-257-1866.
- You must have activated your linkblue account. This is a username and password that will provide you access to multiple platforms at UK, including myUK where you will complete the Campus Housing and Dining Application and Contract.
- Review the UK Housing and Dining Contract (pdf) and share it with anyone involved in the financial aspects of your college decision. This contract is legally binding for the full academic year, which consists of both the fall and spring semesters, and cancellation penalties do apply. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian will need to sign the contract. The contract will be signed when completing your Campus Housing and Dining Application in myUK.
- Be prepared to pay the non-refundable $50 housing application fee that is required at the time of application submission.
- Explore the Wildcat Living website to learn more about areas of campus, residence halls and available room types.
- Decide if you would like to participate in UK's Living Learning Program. We encourage students to explore the Living Learning Program before completing the Housing and Dining Application and Contract because the decision to join one of these residential communities determines where on campus you will live.
- Familiarize yourself with important deadlines that pertain to the housing application. Below is a summary of the application tracks and room selection begin dates. Complete the Campus Housing and Dining Application and Contract as soon as possible after receiving your UK acceptance letter. The earlier you apply, the more likely you are to have your housing preferences met.

How to Apply to Live on Campus
Before beginning your Campus Housing and Dining Application and Contract, we suggest viewing our "How to Apply to Live on Campus" video before for step-by-step instructions.
There are a lot of activities that go on within the residence halls. Your RAs (Resident Advisors) will put together a bunch of different events. I personally loved attending those, just because you get to meet a lot of people not only on the floor of your residence hall but in your residence hall overall. There are fun events like movie nights or game nights, and sometimes you might even have a watch party for an away football game, and you get to hang out, eat some food, and meet new people.
