Student Mail

UK Postal Services processes all incoming mail and packages for students living in campus residence halls. Mail is delivered one time per day Monday through Friday on campus.

Please be aware that carriers may send a delivery notification before the package has reached your residence hall. This usually means it has arrived at the UK central post office and is waiting to be distributed. You will receive an email from UK Campus Housing when your package is ready for pickup at your hall’s front desk.

Residents are issued a mailbox within their residence hall and can pick up small packages and mail there. Larger packages will be delivered to the Front Desk of the student's residence hall.

  • Deliveries to residence halls will not be accepted until after official move-in.
  • Students will receive an email notification that says "Mailbox" when small packages or mail are delivered to their assigned mailbox within the residence hall. Larger packages will be delivered to the Front Desk of the residence hall and that notification email will say "Front Desk." After receiving notification, students are responsible for checking  retrieving their mail or packages from their mailbox or from the Front Desk.
  • Amazon currently notifies their customer when a shipment is received at the post office. Those deliveries will be transferred to UK in one business day.

Addressing Packages

To ensure your packages are delivered correctly, please use the specific mailing address for your residence hall. You can find this address in the Hall Information section on the UK Wildcat Living website. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the residence halls page on the Wildcat Living website to locate your hall's mailing address.
  2. When addressing your package, include the student's full name, residence hall, and room number to avoid delays.

Drop-Off and Same-Day Delivery

UK accepts packages and deliveries from recognized carriers like USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL and Amazon at the residence hall front desks. However, UK does not accept drop-offs or same-day delivery services (e.g., Walmart, DoorDash, Grubhub or UberEATS) at the front desks. Students must meet these types of vendors in person in the main lobby to collect such items.
