University-wide Navigation

At the University of Kentucky, our people make our community extraordinary. UK Campus Housing is proud to offer a special benefit that extends to UK employee families through the Family Education Program (FEP).

If you’re the dependent of a regular full-time employee (FTE 0.75 or greater) and have been admitted to UK, you qualify for priority consideration for campus housing. This is a small way UK Campus Housing can join in the celebration of families who make our campus special.

We’re honored that you’re considering joining our Wildcat community as a student and cannot wait to welcome you to Wildcat Living.

Who qualifies for the Family Education Program (FEP) Campus Housing Benefit?

Incoming first-year and transfer students planning to attend UK for Fall 2026 who qualify as dependents of regular full-time UK employees (as defined by HR policy) can receive early access to Room Selection in the UK Campus Housing portal.

What do I need to do to reveive this benefit?

  1. Apply and be admitted to the University of Kentucky for Fall 2026.
  1. Ask your UK employee to complete this form by May 1, 2026, to indicate interest in the FEP Campus Housing Benefit.
  1. Submit your 2026-27 UK Campus Housing and Dining application and contract as soon as possible.
  1. Check both your UKY and personal email accounts regularly for the next steps in Room Selection.
  1. Confirm your attendance to UK by May 1, 2026, to keep your early Room Selection access active.

Can I still choose my roommate if I receive this benefit?

Yes, if your intended roommate has also submitted their housing application, you can search for them in the housing portal and select a space together. Pro tip: Check the Roommate Requests section of your housing application before your selection window opens to ensure you have a verified roommate group.

What residence halls/room types will be available?

You’ll have the opportunity to choose from available spaces during your selection time. University Flats and Boyd Hall are reserved for upper-level  students and are not available for first-time first-year students.

What if i'm interested in the Living Learning Program (LLP)?

If you’d like to join a Living Learning Program, apply within your housing application and pay attention to LLP-specific deadlines. Students accepted into an LLP will begin selecting their rooms the week of March 2, 2026, with Room Selection continuing through May 22, 2026. Take note: your roommate must be in the same LLP as you.

What if I have a disability/condition that requires special accommodation?

Let us know when filling out your housing application if you need special living arrangements. UK Campus Housing will work closely with you and UK’s Disability Resource Center (DRC) to ensure your needs are supported. You can reach the DRC at 859-257-2754 with any questions. They are available Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET.
